The Discovery Museum is the best place for field trips and outreach programs!

As an educator – either as a parent or classroom teacher – we know you are always looking for ways to enhance your students’ learning process and to give them lasting educational experiences. In addition to the interactive, hands-on exhibits and special presentations at the Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum, our staff has developed a wide variety of outreach programs that focus on the sciences and mathematics, the humanities, and the arts. All of our exhibits and programs meet Virginia Standards of Learning requirements.

Bringing a group to the Discovery Museum is fun and easy.

The Discovery Museum represents hours of learning and hands-on fun for your entire classroom or group. We can facilitate stand-alone field trips, field trips with educational programs, or even outreach programs that travel to your location. You will find a few helpful links below as well as a link to our Program Packet.  If you have questions or would like to book your group with the Discovery Museum, call (540) 722-2020 ext. 106 or email us to book a date!

To hold your reservation for a field trip or outreach, a non-refundable deposit of $50.00 is required per group. All changes or cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance of the program or party start date to receive a refund. A $50 cancellation fee will be deducted from the refund amount. Cancellations made less than two weeks in advance will not receive a refund. The Museum will make every effort to reschedule field trips canceled due to weather.
